What is a Virtual Medical Assistant (Medical Virtual Assistant)?
Our virtual medical assistants work remotely and perform tasks for your practice such as prescription refills, insurance verification, prior authorization, EMR data entry, appointment scheduling, scribing, and other admin tasks
What tasks are handled by Xillium VMAs?
They perform tasks for medical practices like reception, patient set-up intake, appointment scheduling and reminders, insurance verification, EMR data entry, and billing and coding. Less common tasks our VMAs handle are peer-to-peer review documentation, RPM, COVID-19 treatment instructions, and record requests.
Are Xillium VMAs HIPAA Compliant?
We require our VMAs to complete a HIPAA training program and demonstrate their knowledge through testing. Internal guidelines and processes like 2-factor authentication, password management, and restricted use of physical and computer storage provide a more secure and user-friendly environment. These practices allow us to follow the HIPAA standard to ensure compliance.
How does Xillium guarantee the security of accessed data?
We prioritize using secure and private WiFi networks, restricting use of personal devices within our offices, 2-factor authentication and password managers, and use of cloud services to avoid physical storage of client data.
Our rates depend on whether they are part-time, full-time, or customized. They depend on factors such as skill level and area of staff desired, requested work schedule, etc. Most payments are on a monthly basis and our contract lengths depend on the size of your facility.
Is Xillium a US-registered company?
Xillium is a registered LLC in North Carolina as well as a registered corporation in Iloilo City, Philippines. Our marketing and sales staff are located in the US while our VMAs are located in the Philippines.
